S Sivakumar VSM Appointed Air Officer-in-Charge Administration at Air HQ

New Delhi, 2nd July: Air Marshal S Sivakumar, Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), has assumed the appointment of Air Officer-in-Charge Administration (AOA) at Air Headquarters, New Delhi, with effect from July 1, 2025, the Ministry of Defence announced.

Commissioned into the Administration branch of the Indian Air Force in June 1990, Air Marshal Sivakumar brings with him over 35 years of distinguished service. He holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Pondicherry University and an M.Phil. in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University.

Throughout his extensive career, the Air Marshal has held several key command and staff appointments. These include Senior Air Traffic Control Officer at a forward base, Air Force Examiner, and Chief Administrative Officer at a premier flying station. He also represented the IAF in the United Nations Mission in Congo.

His prior postings include Command Works Officer and Command Personnel Staff Officer at two operational commands, Air Officer Commanding of an Equipment Depot, and Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Air Force Works) at Air Headquarters. Before his current appointment, he served as Director General (Administration) at Air HQ.

Air Marshal Sivakumar is a recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal, awarded in recognition of his exceptional service to the nation.
