New Delhi, 3rd Jan. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has expressed condolences on the passing of Ved Prakash Nanda, an Indian-American educationist and the Zonal Sarsanghchalak of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh.
The Sangh acknowledges his significant contribution as the regional leader of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh in America, which will always be remembered with respect.
RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat and Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale have issued a condolence message, highlighting Nanda’s dedication to both culture and justice. RSS extended their deepest condolences to his family and prayed for strength and peace during this difficult time.
The message expresses profound sadness over the tragic passing of Professor Ved Prakash Nanda in Denver, USA. From his early days as a student activist in Delhi to his career as a law professor, Professor Nanda has been an integral part of social life in the United States.
He has been an inspiration to his students and peers, renowned for his expertise in legal studies, international law, education, and public policies. Many policymakers across the continent sought his guidance, including those who held esteemed positions in supreme courts and high offices.
Professor Nanda received numerous international honors and recognitions, including the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award. Additionally, he served as the General Secretary and President of ABVP during its early years.
