New Delhi, 13th Jan: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Dr Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday said that “RSS and Doctorji are synonymous” while unveiling two songs from the centenary film ‘Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at 100 – Shatak’ at Keshav Kunj, Jhandewalan.
The two songs — ‘Bharat Maa Ke Bachche’ and ‘Bhagwa Hai Meri Pehchaan’ — rendered by noted singer Sukhwinder Singh, were formally released as part of the year-long celebrations marking 100 years of the RSS.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Bhagwat said that although the Sangh continues to grow and adopt new forms, its core philosophy remains unchanged. “Many people feel the Sangh is changing, but in reality it is only unfolding itself, just like a seed growing into a tree,” he said, adding that the organisation continues to reflect the ideas and spirit of its founder.

He highlighted the life of RSS founder Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, describing his personality as a subject worthy of psychological study. Recalling that Dr Hedgewar lost both his parents within an hour on the same day at the age of 11, Dr Bhagwat said that despite such a profound personal tragedy, Doctorji remained mentally strong and deeply rooted in his patriotic commitment.

“He was a born nationalist who could absorb even the greatest personal loss without allowing it to weaken his resolve,” Dr Bhagwat said.
The centenary film ‘Shatak’ has been produced by Veer Kapoor and directed by Ashish Mal. RSS Akhil Bharatiya Karyakarini member Suresh ‘Bhaiyyaji’ Joshi, singer Sukhwinder Singh and several other senior functionaries were present on the occasion.
The film chronicles the century-long journey, ideology and contributions of the RSS to India’s social and national life, marking a milestone in the organisation’s history.
