Itanagar, 24th Jan. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has called on young voters to reject the influence of money in elections, as it is the main cause of corruption.
During an event at the BJP head office, Rijiju, who is the Union Earth Science Minister, interacted with newly enrolled voters and emphasized the importance of clean elections without the use of money or illegal methods.
He stated, “Forcing people to vote is not only detrimental to politics but also harmful to democracy,” and urged young people to engage in transparent politics.
Rijiju highlighted the various development initiatives undertaken by the central and state governments and encouraged new voters to collaborate with the government to build a prosperous state and country.
Biyuram Wahge, the BJP state unit president, also spoke at the event and emphasized that the party’s goal is not to seize power, but to work for the welfare of the people and gain their trust.
He urged young people to raise awareness about clean elections in society for a better future.
