Republic Day Reception for ISRO Women Scientists is hosted at the home of Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh

New Delhi, 27th Jan. The Republic Day reception for ISRO Women Scientists, totaling over 225, was held at the residence of Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space.
Among them was the esteemed Women Scientists team, which headed the ISRO tableau for Republic Day, which linked all 140 crore Indians with the agency by showcasing Chandrayaan, Aditya L1, and other recent success stories that have garnered international recognition. Eight women scientists led the ISRO tableau, while 220 invited women scientists and their spouses supported the group. The all-female group originated from different ISRO facilities located in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Sriharikota.
According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s introduction of fresh space reforms and removal of historical restrictions on the space industry made this glorious day possible.
The female scientists expressed their profound sense of honor and privilege at the unprompted cheers they received as the ISRO tableau made its way along the Kartavya Path. Thanking Prime Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, he stated that ISRO’s “Viksit Bharat Ki Pehchaan” was being narrated as the ISRO tableau drew closer to the President’s enclosure.
The space agency captured the historic moment on August 23 of last year, when its spacecraft Chandrayaan-3 successfully touched down on the moon. According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, the achievement made India the first and only nation in the world to land close to the uncharted lunar south pole.
According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, ISRO embodies India’s Naarishakti, since female scientists not only contribute to but also spearhead the diverse range of operations inside space research initiatives. According to him, Ms. Kalpana Kalahasti is the associate project director for Chandrayaan-3 and Ms. Nigar Shaji is the project director of the Aditya L1 Mission.
The Minister was introduced to female scientists and project directors by ISRO Chairman Dr. S. Somanath during the reception. These included Dr. Radha Devi of ADRIL, ISRO’s “Sunny Lady,” Nigar Shaji, and other notable women scientists who have made history, such as Kalpana Kalahasti, Reema Ghosh, Ritu Karidhal, and Nidhi Porwal.
According to Dr Jitendra Singh, women will travel with equal partners in our country during the Amritkaal, and the women scientists of ISRO will lead the way as we advance towards a Viksit Bharat by 2047.
