New Delhi, 26th Jan.
On Republic Day 2024, the state of Uttar Pradesh presented a tableau with the theme “Viksit Bharat: Samriddh Virasat” in the parade. This year, the focus was on faith and development.

The tableau featured an idol of Ram Lalla placed on a temple-like base at the front.

The tableau also included the Namo Bharat Train, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October 2023 as part of the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). The train was showcased on Uttar Pradesh’s tableau during the 75th Republic Day parade on January 26.

In addition, the tableau depicted two sadhus with a symbol of “kalash,” representing the upcoming Magh Mela in Prayagraj and Mahakumbh in 2025.

The high-speed rapid rail service was displayed after the sadhus, and the Brahmos missiles were placed above the rapid rail to highlight Uttar Pradesh’s emergence as a defense production hub in North India.

The tableau showcased the development in the state, including the Jewar International Airport, a mobile manufacturing factory in Noida to emphasize Uttar Pradesh’s role as a mobile manufacturing hub, and the transformation of the state into an expressway state with six operational and seven under-construction expressways.

Furthermore, the tableau featured the emblematic lion symbolizing the state’s contribution to the “Make in India” campaign for indigenous manufacturing. It also displayed the Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) Sahibabad Station and the Namo Bharat train originating from it.

Currently, the train covers a 17-km-long stretch between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot in Uttar Pradesh. The Republic Day parade included tableaux from different states in India, all based on the themes of “Viksit Bharat” and “Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka.”

The parade began at 10:30 AM and lasted approximately 90 minutes. It commenced with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the National War Memorial, where he paid tribute to the fallen heroes.

Then, the Prime Minister and other dignitaries proceeded to the saluting dais at Kartavya Path to witness the parade.

This year, the Republic Day parade featured around 13,000 Special Guests, allowing people from all walks of life to participate in the celebrations and promote Jan Bhagidari (public participation) in this national festival.

French President Emmanuel Macron was the Chief Guest at the parade, and a combined Band and Marching contingent of the French Armed Forces also participated in the march past.
