Removal of Article 370 Paved the Way for a New Jammu Kashmir: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the revocation of Article 370 played a pivotal role in ushering in growth and development in Jammu and Kashmir as he inaugurated multiple projects worth over ₹ 32,500 crore for the region, alongside projects worth ₹13,500 crore for other parts of the country.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi rejoiced at the launch of initiatives aimed at fostering holistic development in Jammu and Kashmir, describing it as a remarkable day for the region.

Addressing a public rally at Jammu’s Maulana Azad Stadium, the Prime Minister highlighted the transformative changes in the region post-Article 370 abrogation, emphasizing that it paved the way for a new era of progress. He underlined the dismantling of Article 370 as the removal of a barrier hindering Jammu and Kashmir’s development, enabling the region to flourish.

Asserting that a developed India correlates with a developed Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi expressed satisfaction over the positive reception of the region’s development on the international stage, particularly during G20 events held there.

The Prime Minister also interacted with beneficiaries of various government schemes, including women from different districts, showcasing success stories of empowerment and economic progress. He distributed appointment letters to approximately 1,500 newly recruited government employees as part of the “Viksit Bharat, Viksit Jammu” program.

Promising to fulfill the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, PM Modi took an indirect swipe at dynastic politics in the region, emphasizing the need to break free from its shackles for comprehensive development.

The event marks a significant step towards realizing the vision of a prosperous and vibrant Jammu and Kashmir, with the Prime Minister reaffirming his commitment to the region’s growth and prosperity.
