Recognize media persons as Corona fighters and provide life insurance worth Rs 1 crore: Working Journalist of India affiliated to BMS

New Delhi, 13th May. The working journalist of India affiliated to BMS in a letter written to Home Minister Amit Shah have demanded recognition of media persons as Corona fighters and provide specialized camps for corona test along with life insurance worth Rs 1 crore.
Anoop Chaudhry the national president of working Journalist of India affiliated to BMS in the letter stated that the association would like to draw your attention towards the acute problems associated with the working journalists at this period of pandemic of Corona. Recently 53 journalists in Mumbai (Maharastra) have found corona positive and that is maximum threat to their life.
He requested from the government to consider all the journalists working on ground and covering corona pandemic as a corona fighter and provide them insurance worth Rs 1 Crore along with all the benefits being given to other corona fighters, provide separate Coronâ tests camps, so that speedy test can be done, provide safety kit to the corona warriors journalists, and provide separate wards in case of corona positive journalist. He requested the home minister to direct to chief ministers of all states, and LG of all union territories to implement with immediate effect.
