Chennai, 30th Jan. Superstar Rajinikanth defended his daughter Aishwarya on Monday, clarifying that she did not use the term “Sanghi” in a negative way. Instead, she simply expressed her belief that he is a spiritual person.
She had said “dad is a spiritual person who loves all religions and when that is the case why father should be described so (as a Sanghi),” the top star said.
When asked if Aishwarya’s comments were made to promote her upcoming movie Lal Salaam, Rajinikanth denied the accusation, stating that there was no ulterior motive. Lal Salaam, which is directed by Aishwarya and features Rajinikanth in the cast, is set to be released on February 9.
Aishwarya’s remarks regarding the word “Sanghi” and its association with her father have sparked intense debate in various circles.
