PM Modi Inaugurates ₹46,300 Crore Development Projects in Rajasthan

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ event in Jaipur, Rajasthan, marking the completion of one year of the state government. During the event, PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 24 projects across energy, road, railways, and water sectors, with a cumulative value exceeding ₹46,300 crores.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi congratulated the Rajasthan government and its people for their developmental strides under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma. He emphasized that the first year of the current government has laid a robust foundation for continued progress in Rajasthan. The event, PM Modi noted, symbolized the “festival of development” for the state.

Key Projects:

  1. Development Milestones:
    PM Modi praised the state government’s achievements, including job creation, tackling issues like paper leaks, and ensuring transparency in employment processes. He also highlighted relief in fuel prices and initiatives to support farmers, such as additional funding under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
  2. Infrastructure Boost:
    The inaugurated projects aim to resolve Rajasthan’s persistent water issues and improve connectivity. The Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking project and the Isarda Link Project are set to benefit 21 districts. Additionally, advancements in road and rail infrastructure will strengthen Rajasthan’s position as a key trade hub.
  3. Focus on Water and Energy:
    PM Modi underscored the importance of water conservation and solar energy in Rajasthan. He encouraged societal participation in water management and highlighted the state’s potential to lead India’s solar energy sector through initiatives like the PM Suryagarh Free Electricity Scheme.
  4. Empowering Women:
    The PM lauded women-centric schemes, such as the “Namo Drone Didi” and “Bima Sakhi,” which empower women with skills and economic opportunities. Efforts to expand self-help groups and enhance rural women’s income were also highlighted.
  5. Vision for Rajasthan:
    PM Modi expressed optimism about Rajasthan becoming water-sufficient and a solar energy leader, reiterating the commitment to make the state a connectivity hub for road, rail, and air travel.

Legacy and Future Goals:

PM Modi credited previous governments led by Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Vasundhara Raje for laying the groundwork for Rajasthan’s progress and commended the current government for its efforts in governance and infrastructure development.

Highlighting the importance of environmental conservation, PM Modi called for public participation in campaigns like tree planting and natural farming to complement government initiatives. He affirmed the Centre’s support in ensuring Rajasthan’s continued development, making it a key contributor to India’s growth.

The event was attended by Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagade, Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, among other dignitaries.
