Jaipur, 28th Oct. The Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) has released its first list of 10 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.

Party convenor and Lok Sabha MP Hanuman Beniwal will also be contesting from the Khinvsar seat. The list includes sitting MLA Pukhraj Garg from Bhopalgarh and MLA Indira Devi Bawri from Merta.

Interestingly, Narayan Beniwal, the brother of the MP, is the current MLA from Khinvsar but has not been given a ticket for the same seat. His name is not even mentioned in this list.

The RLP was previously a part of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) during the 2019 Lok Sabha polls but separated after the controversial farm laws were passed by the Centre.

The RLP has also given tickets to Lachharam Badrada from Parbatsar, Revatram Panwar from Kolayat, Badrilal Jat from Sahada, Umedaram Beniwal from Baytu, Lalchand Mund from Sardarshahar, Mahesh Saini from Sanganer, and Ajay Trivedi from Jodhpur city.

Hanuman Beniwal had previously won the 2018 assembly elections from Khinvsar but won the Lok Sabha elections from Nagaur in 2019.

Narayan Beniwal from RLP won the by-election for the seat.

The RLP has also announced an alliance with Chandrashekhar Azad-led Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) for the 2023 assembly polls in the state.

Hanuman Beniwal had previously stated that the RLP expects to put up a strong fight on approximately 100 out of the total 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan.

The polling in Rajasthan is scheduled for November 25, with the counting of votes to be conducted on December 3.
