Rajasthan Govt Transfers 62 IAS Officers in Major Bureaucratic Reshuffle

Jaipur, 23rd June: In a sweeping administrative reshuffle, the Rajasthan government late Sunday night transferred 62 IAS officers, including eight Additional Chief Secretaries (ACS) and 11 district collectors, as part of a significant reorganization aimed at strengthening governance across departments and districts.

According to the Department of Personnel, 21 IAS officers have also been assigned additional charges of various departments.

Senior IAS officer Akhil Arora, who served as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Finance Department for nearly five years, has now been appointed ACS of the Public Health Engineering Department (PHED). Aparna Arora has moved from the Forest Department to take charge as ACS, Social Justice and Empowerment Department.

Former ACS of Social Justice and Empowerment, Kuldeep Ranka, will now serve as ACS, Higher and Technical Education. Anand Kumar, who held the crucial post of ACS, Home, has been transferred to the Forest Department in the same capacity.

In another key move, Alok Gupta, who was serving as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed Principal Secretary, Industries Department.

On the district administration front, collectors of Phalodi, Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu, Kotputli, Deewana-Kuchaman, Sawai Madhopur, Rajsamand, Tonk, Bharatpur, Kota, and Beawar have also been transferred.
