Rajasthan Govt Official Arrested for Taking Bribe of Rs 1.30 Lakh in Pratapgarh

A junior engineer working for the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Pratapgarh district was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau on Tuesday, an official release said.

The engineer, Ashutosh Suthar, was caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.30 lakh from a contractor. Suthar had demanded the bribe in exchange for approving a bill of Rs 82 lakh for construction work in a laboratory.

The engineer was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act after the bureau team verified the complaint.
