Rajasthan CM Holds Review Meeting on Truckers’ Protest

Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, conducted a meeting on Tuesday evening to assess the situation arising from the nationwide strike by transport unions in response to the new penal law on hit-and-run cases.

Sharma instructed all Divisional Commissioners, Police Range IG, District Collectors, SP, and other officials to ensure that the supply of essential commodities remains uninterrupted during the strike, and that the general public does not face any difficulties.

He directed the officials to evaluate the availability of petrol, diesel, and LPG, develop an action plan, engage in discussions with representatives of protesting transport organizations, and take necessary measures to clarify any misunderstandings regarding the new provision, as stated in a press release.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Director General of Police Utkal Ranjan Sahu, Additional Chief Secretary of Food and Civil Supplies Abhay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Anand Kumar, and Divisional Commissioners, Range IGs, Collectors, and SPs who joined via video conference.
