Rajasthan: CM Gehlot Approves Grant for Salary, Allowances in 17 Newly Formed Municipalities

Jaipur, 15th July. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has approved the proposal for grant for payment of salary allowances of sanctioned posts in the newly constituted 17 Municipalities.

As per the proposal, a provision has been made for sanction of Rs.26.79 crore (Rs.1.57 crore per municipality) for the first two years with effect from 01.04.2022 for  the salary allowances of the sanctioned posts in the 17 newly formed municipalities and Rs.47.79 crore (Rs.2.81 crore per municipality) per annum thereafter. The said provision includes the newly formed municipalities Bassi and Pawat-Pragpura (Jaipur), Laxmangarh, Rajgarh and Bansur (Alwar), Mandwari (Dausa), Bhopalgarh (Jodhpur), Jawal (Sirohi), Sikri and Uchain (Bharatpur), Sarmathura and Basedi (Dholpur), Sapotra (Karauli), Sultanpur (Kota), Ataru (Baran), The salary allowances of the sanctioned posts in Lalgarh-Jatan (Sriganganagar) and Bamanwas (Sawai Madhopur) will be paid.

It may be recalled that the Chief Minister in the Budget for the year 2022-23 had announced a provision of grant on the basis of gap funding along with the octroi recharge grant for the salaries and allowances of the employees of the municipal bodies of the state.
