Rajasthan Assembly Polls: Congress Releases First List of 33 Candidates, Fields Gehlot from Sardarpura, Pilot from Tonk

New Delhi, 21st Oct. The Congress on Saturday released its first list of 33 candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot will be contesting from Sardarpura, while former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot will be contesting from Tonk.

Four members of Sachin Pilot’s camp have received tickets in the first list.

Assembly Speaker CP Joshi will be contesting from Nathdwara, and RPCC chief Govind Singh Dotasara has received a ticket from Laxmangarh.

During a rally in Dausa, Chief Minister Gehlot urged people to vote for all sitting MLAs in the district. He named the sitting MLAs of the Congress in Dausa district- – Parsadi Lal Meena, Mamta Bhupesh, Murari Lal Meena, GR Khatana and appealed to people to vote for them.

He also mentioned independent MLA Omprakash Hudla, who has extended support to the Congress government.

Gehlot’s appeal suggests that the sitting legislators named by him are likely to receive tickets, including the independent MLA.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government’s schemes and programs, emphasizing that the election would be fought based on the government’s performance.

Dausa has a total of five assembly seats, with four held by the Congress and one by independent MLA Hudla.

The Rajasthan assembly polls will take place on November 25, with the counting of votes scheduled for December 3.
