Ramgarh, 5th Feb.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday resumed from Ramgarh district in Jharkhand. This is the fourth day of the procession in the state.

After spending the night at Sidhu-Kanhu ground in the district on Sunday, the yatra started again from Mahatma Gandhi Chowk this morning. It will proceed to Chutupalu Valley, where Gandhi will pay tribute to freedom fighters Saheed Sheikh Bhikhari and Tikait Umaro Singh, according to state Congress spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan.

Upon reaching Irba in Ranchi district, Gandhi will interact with weavers at Indira Gandhi Handloom Process ground, Ranjan added.

After a lunch break, the yatra will continue to Ranchi’s Shaheed Ground, where the Congress MP will address a public rally.

On Sunday, Gandhi stated that his party supports the rights of tribals over water, forest, and land resources (Jal-Jungle-Jamin).

The yatra is taking place in Jharkhand at the same time as the JMM-led alliance government seeks a trust vote in the assembly on Monday. The Congress is a part of this alliance.

Gandhi’s overnight stay is scheduled in Khunti district on Monday. The yatra will cover a distance of 804 km, passing through 13 districts of the state over eight days in two phases.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which began in Manipur on January 14, is planned to cover a total distance of 6,713 km in 67 days. It will pass through 110 districts in 15 states before concluding in Mumbai on March 20.
