New Delhi, 13th Feb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said World Radio Day celebrates a medium that continues to serve as a trusted voice for people across the country, from remote villages to busy cities.

In a message on social media, the Prime Minister said radio has, for decades, delivered timely information, amplified talent, and encouraged creativity.

He noted that through his monthly programme Mann Ki Baat, he has experienced the power of radio in showcasing the collective strength and stories of the people.

“Through Mann Ki Baat, I have experienced the potential of radio firsthand in bringing out the societal strength of our people,” he said.

Modi also invited citizens to share their suggestions for the next episode of the programme, scheduled to be broadcast on February 22.

He added that World Radio Day was an occasion to acknowledge the efforts of all those associated with the medium.
