New Delhi, 15th July: R. Doraiswamy has been appointed as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). His appointment was approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) for a tenure of three years or until he attains the age of 62, whichever is earlier.

Before taking over the top post, Doraiswamy served as Managing Director at LIC, bringing decades of experience in the insurance sector. He now steps in to succeed Siddhartha Mohanty, who completed his term as LIC’s CEO.

The leadership transition comes at a crucial time as LIC continues to expand its market footprint and focus on digital transformation and policyholder trust.
