Punjab Police Dept Promotes 101 Sub-Inspectors

Chandigarh, 9th July. Gaurav Yadav, the Director General of Police in Punjab, promoted 101 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspector on Friday. There were 95 female officers among them.

The DGP stated that with the promotion of 101 police officers, all inspector vacancies in the state have been filled.

We promoted 101 sub-inspectors to the rank of inspector, which will not only address the shortage of supervisory personnel in the field, but will also provide officers with the opportunity to advance, said Yadav.

While symbolically pinning stars on the shoulders of some of the newly promoted officers present, the DGP wished them all luck.

The additional star on your shoulders comes with greater responsibility, he said, encouraging them to carry out their responsibilities with dedication, sincerity, and honesty.

He went on to say that all 95 promoted women officers are 2015 batch directly recruited sub-inspectors with seven years of field experience. He stated that the remaining six sub-inspectors were awaiting promotion.

The DGP stated that timely promotion is the right of every police officer and promised to give them their due promotions as soon as possible.

He stated that all supervisory positions would be filled as soon as possible.
