Prof. M.M. Goel justifies Needonomics Pathway for Viksit Bharat 2047 at Govt. Chhatrasal College, Pichhore (Shivpuri-MP)

Shivpuri, 11th Oct: “Economic development towards Viksit Bharat 2047 is inseparable from the vitality of local and regional enterprises,” said Prof. Madan Mohan Goel, Proponent of Needonomics, Former Vice-Chancellor (Thrice), and Superannuated Professor of Kurukshetra University. He was addressing a National Webinar on “Local & Regional Enterprises and Holistic Development” organized by Government Chhatrasal College, Pichhore, District Shivpuri, and sponsored by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Dr. A. K. Jain, Head of Department, delivered welcome address and introduced Prof. M.M. Goel.

Prof. Goel expressed his gratitude to Dr. Bhavna Bhatnagar for recommending his name to the Head of the Department of Economics for an invitation to this event.

Prof. Goel underlined that local enterprises, rooted in diverse raw materials, cultural practices, and traditional skills, not only generate income and employment but also sustain cultural heritage and social cohesion.

Karambhumi—rural or urban, physical or digital—reflects the place, purpose, and performance of local enterprises, with Needonomics guiding their productivity through the prioritization of needs and ethics, explained Prof. Goel.

Needonomics advocates need-based development, where local and regional enterprises serve as the pillars of employment, self-reliance, sustainability, and cultural preservation,” he said.

Prof. Goel stressed that Needonomics draws inspiration from Gita verse 9.22, reflected in the LIC motto ‘Yogakshemam Vahamyaham’, and is an ethical, nonviolent, eco-friendly, and commonsense approach.

“Adopt Gita-based Needonomics with Glocalization—think globally and act locally—for realizing Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” Prof. Goel concluded.
