Jammu & Kashmir, 3rd March. As the Valley prepares to host Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 7, extraordinary security measures were implemented throughout Kashmir on Sunday. This would be PM Modi’s first trip to the Valley following the August 5, 2019, revocation of Article 370. He was in the Valley for the last time in February 2019.

On March 7, Modi is expected to officially launch or lay the groundwork for a number of Valley development initiatives.

He will speak with a few local recipients of the national flagship programs during his almost two-hour speech at Srinagar’s Bakshi Stadium. He will also speak at Bakshi Stadium to a sizable crowd of people.

PM Modi will take a helicopter to the Army’s 15 Corps’ Badami Bagh cantonment headquarters after landing at Srinagar International Airport. At the martyrs memorial inside Corps headquarters, he will present floral tributes.

The Prime Minister will next ride in a cavalcade from the Badami Bagh cantonment to Bakshi Stadium, the location of his primary event in the Valley. To guarantee a peaceful VVIP visit and minimal disruption to attendees during their journey to the venue, a three-tiered security setup has been implemented.

The security forces have taken control of all the high-rise buildings surrounding Bakshi Stadium, and drones will be used to conduct aerial surveillance in the surrounding areas.

In an effort to keep anti-national elements from upsetting the calm within the city, improvised checkpoints have been erected in a number of locations throughout Srinagar, and all points of entry and departure are under security.

To protect the Prime Minister and the people within the stadium, there will be strict regulations governing both official and public admission. BJP leaders anticipate that a sizable crowd from throughout the Valley will attend the public event on March 7 at Bakshi Stadium.

All necessary drills and exercises are being conducted with extreme precision in accordance with the standing operating procedure (SoP) that oversees the Prime Minister’s security in order to guarantee flawless security during PM Modi’s visit.
