Prime Minister Modi urges his ministers to remain vigilant regarding the 2024 elections

New Delhi, 4th Feb. The BJP has gained momentum in the Hindi heartland and undoubtedly beyond as a result of the Sri Ramjanmabhumi temple’s consecration, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi, ever the pragmatic, has instructed his Cabinet Ministers to work hard for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections and not to be carried away by armchair political analysts.
As the party is still scarred by the 2004 elections, in which the BJP leadership became careless in the closing stages, PM Modi has advised his ministers not to get comfortable with the public’s pro-incumbency sentiment toward the Modi government.
With just seven more seats than the BJP, the Congress led by Sonia Gandhi emerged victorious in the Lok Sabha and formed the United Progressive Alliance, which Manmohan Singh led for the next ten years.
While the chorus boys of the BJP have begun to believe that “abki baar 400 paar (this time BJP will get 400 seats)”, Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have done extensive research and left nothing to chance with their newfound alliances, which will benefit both parties, with JD (U) in caste-dominated Bihar and BJD in Odisha. It is clear that Odisha strongman Naveen Patnaik, who has served as Chief Minister for the longest time, detests the “court culture” of the oldest party and will avoid both the BJP and the Congress, albeit with a cautious eye.
The BJP will need to rely on its “pana pramukhs (electoral list organizers)” to make sure that its supporters show up at the polls and cast their ballots, despite the Modi government’s overall efforts, given the expanding economy and increased influence globally. Otherwise, they risk giving up, believing that PM Modi is assuming office for the third time. The largest minority community, along with other supporters of the INDIA bloc, will turn out in force to vote the BJP out of power despite the bloc’s seeming disarray. The opposition wants to remove the BJP from office and postpone the formation of a government until a later time through numerical manipulation.
With Shri Ram Lalla’s blessing, the BJP is leading the way in the Hindi heartland, and the party-RSS apparatus is being prepped to make sure that the “karyakartas,” or workers, are fired up and driven to elect Narendra Modi as prime minister a third time in May 2024. But the party will need to work extremely hard to hold onto its supporters in Karnataka, break through the DMK stronghold in Tamil Nadu, and defeat the Left network in Kerala. The same is true for West Bengal, where Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee intends to battle the BJP tooth and nail in an effort to lower the number of LS seats compared to the previous election.
Since Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are aware that math comes second in elections after chemistry, the leadership is putting a lot of pressure on its key generals to continue reminding the public of the work done by the current government by interacting with everyone—from first-time voters to the so-called fence sitters.
