New Delhi, 29th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu today addressed probationers of the Indian Statistical Service (ISS), Indian Skill Development Service (ISDS), and Central Engineering Service (CES) at Rashtrapati Bhavan, calling on them to serve the nation with passion and integrity to help create a “more prosperous, resilient and inclusive India.”

Highlighting the importance of data in governance, the President told ISS officers that sound policy formulation depends on accurate statistical analysis. “Your expertise in statistical methods is vital to address the nation’s growing data and information needs,” she said.

Addressing ISDS officers, Murmu underlined that skill and knowledge are the true engines of economic growth and social progress. She urged them to help build a “future-ready workforce” by promoting advanced technological skills among India’s youth.

To CES officers, the President stressed the key role of engineers in driving technological progress and infrastructure growth. She encouraged the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) and allied bodies to adopt sustainable, environment-friendly practices as India pushes ahead with large-scale development projects.

President Murmu further said the probationers will influence not only policy implementation but also policy-making through effective feedback. “By serving with passion and integrity, you can contribute to the making of a nation that is more prosperous, resilient, and inclusive,” she affirmed.
