President Murmu to Visit Manipur on December 11–12

New Delhi, 10th Dec: President Droupadi Murmu will embark on a two-day visit to Manipur from December 11 to 12, the Rashtrapati Bhavan announced on Wednesday. The visit includes a series of cultural engagements, public events and the inauguration of major developmental projects across the state.

On December 11, the President will be accorded a guard of honour upon her arrival in Imphal. She will then proceed to the historic Mapal Kangjeibung to witness a polo exhibition match, highlighting Manipur’s deep-rooted connection with the sport.

In the evening, President Murmu will attend a civic reception hosted in her honour by the Manipur government at the City Convention Centre in Imphal. During the programme, she will lay foundation stones and inaugurate several developmental initiatives aimed at strengthening infrastructure and public services in the state.

On December 12, the President will visit the Nupee Lal Memorial complex to pay homage to the brave Manipuri women who took part in the historic Nupee Lal movements. Later in the day, she will travel to Senapati district, where she is scheduled to address a public gathering and inaugurate additional developmental projects.
