President Murmu Inaugurates Development Initiatives in Odisha’s Tribal Regions

President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday laid the foundation stones for the Central Government Holiday Home and Sports Complex in Rairangpur, Odisha. Additionally, she virtually inaugurated various road projects and the Eklavya Model Residential School in Barsahi.

In her address to the gathered audience, President Murmu underscored the government’s commitment to the development of tribal areas and the well-being of tribal communities.

She highlighted initiatives aimed at expanding infrastructure, including electricity and roads, as well as providing tap water to tribal families. Notably, she emphasized the launch of a national mission to eradicate sickle cell anemia among tribal populations.

President Murmu urged awareness of government welfare schemes among the people, stressing that their active participation is essential for the success of these initiatives. She emphasized the importance of education for societal development, particularly for tribal students, with the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential schools.

Furthermore, the President emphasized the necessity of women’s empowerment for a thriving society, highlighting government schemes aimed at fostering financial independence among women. She stressed the need for collective effort to ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach all beneficiaries.

President Murmu expressed confidence in the road projects initiated and highlighted the potential of the Sports Complex to provide enhanced opportunities for youth in sports.

She also anticipated that the Holiday Home’s construction would attract visitors to Rairangpur and provide employment opportunities for locals.
