New Delhi, 25th March: President Droupadi Murmu on Wednesday extended her greetings to citizens across the country and Indians living abroad on the eve of Ram Navami.
In her message, the President highlighted the significance of the festival, which marks the birth anniversary of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram, and emphasised the enduring relevance of his ideals in contemporary life.
She said the life of Lord Ram serves as a guiding force for following the path of truth, justice and virtue, and inspires individuals to fulfil their duties towards society.
“The ideals of Bhagwan Shri Ram are the foundation of our culture and we should strive to live by them,” the President said.
Urging citizens to imbibe the teachings from the epic life of Lord Ram, she called upon people to dedicate themselves to the service of the nation through their thoughts, words and actions.
Ram Navami is celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm across India, with preparations underway in several parts of the country for the festival.
