New Delhi, 4th Sept: President Droupadi Murmu has extended warm greetings to citizens on the eve of Onam and Milad-un-Nabi, urging people to uphold the values of unity, peace, and cultural harmony.
In her Onam message, the President said the festival, celebrated in the joy of the new harvest, reflects Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and tradition.
“This festival reminds us of the importance of unity, cooperation, and harmony beyond cultural and religious beliefs. This festival is also an occasion to express gratitude to our farmers,” she stated, calling on citizens to respect cultural diversity and strengthen national unity.
Extending greetings on the eve of Milad-un-Nabi, the President highlighted the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
“Prophet Muhammad gave the message of unity and service to humanity to the people. This festival inspires us to imbibe his teachings and promote peace and harmony in society,” she said, urging people to follow the spirit of love and brotherhood.
