A major highlight is the declaration of the President’s Estate, including Rashtrapati Bhavan, Amrit Udyan, and Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, as Divyangjan-friendly premises. This achievement follows the successful implementation of 50 recommendations put forth by the Pt. In a move to increase linguistic inclusivity, the official websites of Rashtrapati Bhavan – www.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in and www.presidentofindia.gov.in – are now available in 22 Indian languages, allowing broader public engagement.
Several new facilities for visitors and residents of the President’s Estates were also inaugurated. These include a Visitor Facilitation Centre at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Nilayam Nikunj at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad, and a Cafeteria, Souvenir Shop, and Reception at Rashtrapati Niwas in Mashobra. Additionally, a renovated Gym has been unveiled at the President’s Estate.
Further initiatives include the launch of E-Upahaar Season 2, an online auction of over 250 items. All proceeds from this auction will be dedicated to supporting initiatives focused on the welfare of children. An e-book, compiling glimpses from the past year of the Presidency, was also released.
Looking towards a sustainable future, President Murmu announced the commencement of initiatives aimed at making Rashtrapati Bhavan “Net Zero” by March 2027.
In her address on the occasion, President Murmu expressed satisfaction that the past three years have seen many decisions and actions that have deepened citizen engagement with Rashtrapati Bhavan.
