New Delhi- The two-day Visitor’s Conference at Rashtrapati Bhavan concluded today, focusing on key academic reforms and industry collaboration in line with the National Education Policy (NEP).
President Droupadi Murmu, in her closing remarks, emphasized the need for a strong academia-industry interface to drive innovation and self-reliance in India’s economy. She called for continuous engagement between higher education institutions and industry leaders to ensure research aligns with economic and societal needs.
Highlighting India’s goal of becoming a developed nation by 2050, President Murmu stressed the importance of international collaborations in education to retain young talent and reduce the tendency to study abroad. She urged institutions to prioritize flexibility in academic courses, credit transfer mechanisms, and research-driven innovation.
The conference also addressed student empowerment, effective evaluation systems, and the integration of educational institutions with local and global industry demands. The President expressed confidence that institutional leaders would uphold the ideals of higher education, shaping a capable and responsible youth for the nation’s future.
