New Delhi, 28th May. President Ram Nath Kovind said on Saturday that linking Ayurveda and Yoga to a specific religion or community is “unfortunate.”
President Kovind made the remark while launching the Arogya Manthan programme “One Nation, One Health System,” which was organized by Arogya Bharti.
The President praised Arogya Bharti for working in a systematic and holistic manner to make citizens healthier. He praised the institution for expanding its national activities.
“When each individual is healthy, all families are healthy.” “If every family is healthy, every village, every city, and thus the entire country will be healthy,” Kovind said.
The President stated that the government’s National Health Policy, which was announced in 2017, aims to make quality health services affordable to all. “It is also the goal of this policy to provide comprehensive and holistic health care for all,” he added.
‘Yoga, Indian spirituality, has a solution to all the world’s ills.’
He went on to say that achieving these goals requires the cooperation of all segments of society, particularly aware citizens, as well as the participation of government and private sector institutions.
Meanwhile, the president thanked scientists from all over the world for their efforts in combating the Covid-19 pandemic. “The world has been plagued by the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic for the past two and a half years. Doctors and scientists from all over the world saved people’s lives through their research and efforts. I’d like to express my appreciation to scientists “said the President.
The President’s three-day visit to Madhya Pradesh began Friday evening with his arrival in Bhopal, the state capital. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Governor Mangubhai Patel greeted him warmly.
