New Delhi, 9th Feb. President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Aadi Mahotsav 2024, an annual National Tribal Festival, at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in New Delhi on 10th February.
The event will also witness the presence of Union Minister for Tribal Affairs and Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Arjun Munda.
Scheduled from 10th to 18th February 2024, the festival organized by TRIFED under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs aims to celebrate the rich diversity of India’s tribal heritage.
With over 300 stalls, the festival promises an extensive showcase of tribal art, handicrafts, natural produce, and delectable tribal cuisine. Featuring the participation of 1000 artisans, visitors will have a unique opportunity to engage with the creators behind the exquisite tribal creations and learn about their cultures firsthand. Additionally, cultural programs in the evenings will highlight performances by tribal artists from across the country.
A separate food court will offer a tantalizing array of Tribal cuisines, known for their health benefits and unique flavors, representing different regions of the country. Visitors can also participate in workshops such as Crafts Workshop, Adi Chitra (painting display) event, and industry-oriented B2B Sessions.
Industry leaders from various chambers of commerce including ASSOCHAM, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), DICCI, Delhi Chamber of Commerce, Indian Chamber of Commerce, and FICCI will join these sessions, contributing to the scaling up of tribal products through entrepreneurial ventures.
