Washington DC, 29th Feb. The White House has affirmed US President Joe Biden’s dedication to enhancing the H-1B visa process and addressing the backlog of green card applications, along with other challenges within the legal immigration system of the United States.
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre emphasized the administration’s commitment to improving the integrity and fairness of the immigration system, citing recent actions taken to streamline the H-1B visa process and enhance fraud prevention measures.
Highlighting the launch of myUSCIS organizational accounts by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Jean-Pierre noted the initiative’s aim to facilitate collaboration among organizations and legal representatives in preparing H-1B registrations and petitions. This move comes ahead of the FY 2025 H-1B cap registration period opening in March.
Furthermore, the USCIS announced plans to introduce online filing options for non-cap H-1B petitions in March and for H-1B cap petitions in April, aiming to streamline the application process and enhance efficiency.
To assist stakeholders in navigating these changes, the USCIS has initiated Tech Talks sessions, providing guidance on organizational accounts and online filing procedures for H-1B petitions.
The White House reiterated its commitment to addressing the concerns of legal immigrants and improving the immigration system’s functionality within its authorities.
