Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated a series of transformative development projects, spanning rail, road, and irrigation infrastructure, collectively valued at over Rs 4900 crores. This significant milestone was commemorated with the release of benefits under various government schemes, including PM KISAN, and the distribution of 1 crore Ayushman cards across Maharashtra.

The Prime Minister also launched the Modi Awaas Gharkul Yojana for OBC category beneficiaries and flagged off two train services, marking a momentous occasion for the region.

Speaking to a gathered audience, Prime Minister Modi paid homage to the rich legacy of Maharashtra, bowing before the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji and honoring the contributions of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Reflecting on past interactions with the people, including his iconic ‘Chai par Charcha’ engagements in 2014 and 2019, he sought continued support and blessings from the community.

Addressing the historical significance of Chhatrapati Shivaji’s reign, which marks 350 years, the Prime Minister underscored Shivaji’s unwavering commitment to national consciousness and strength.

He emphasized the government’s dedication to embodying Shivaji’s ideals, asserting a mission to uplift citizens and lay the groundwork for a prosperous future.

Highlighting the government’s four key priorities—poor, youth, women, and farmers—the Prime Minister reiterated the administration’s commitment to their empowerment. He linked the day’s projects to these priorities, emphasizing their role in fostering economic growth and social progress.

Addressing concerns over past inefficiencies, the Prime Minister emphasized the government’s proactive approach to address shortcomings, citing the efficient disbursement of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits worth Rs 21,000 crores as a testament to the administration’s commitment.

He assured the gathering of the government’s steadfast dedication to ensuring equitable distribution of resources and opportunities.

Moreover, Prime Minister Modi outlined plans to address longstanding issues in irrigation and rural development, citing significant progress in completing irrigation projects and expanding access to tap water. He underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing the rural economy, emphasizing initiatives aimed at empowering women and supporting marginalized communities.

Concluding his address, the Prime Minister reiterated his pledge to accelerate the pace of development, promising a brighter future for every family in Vidarbha.

The event was attended by dignitaries including the Governor and Chief Minister of Maharashtra, along with Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Arjun Munda, who joined virtually, underscoring the collaborative effort to drive progress and prosperity in the region.
