New Delhi, 2nd Jan.
The Delhi Police have questioned the six individuals accused of the December 13 security breach in Parliament for a second time, according to sources cited by PTI.

Sagar Sharma, Manoranjan D, Neelam Azad, Amol Shinde, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat are currently in police custody until January 5.
The police are investigating their motives behind the breach and have held Neelam and Manoranjan at the office of the Special Cells Counter Intelligence Unit, while the other four are being held at different units of the Special Cell. Separate teams from the Special Cell are conducting the interrogations.

The accused were brought to the Counter Intelligence Units office on December 30 and 31 for face-to-face questioning to verify the sequence of events and the role of each individual. They had previously undergone face-to-face questioning on December 20.

During the breach, Sharma and Manoranjan entered the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery, released yellow smoke, and shouted slogans before being subdued by MPs. At the same time, Shinde and Neelam sprayed colored smoke and shouted slogans outside the Parliament premises.

The accused, who were members of the Bhagat Singh Fan Club Facebook page, stated during interrogations that their main objective was to protest government inaction on issues such as unemployment, Manipur violence, and farmers’ agitations.

The investigators suspect that the accused received funding and acted under the direction of a handler. They have also conducted psycho-analysis and plan to administer a polygraph test to the accused. All six individuals have been charged under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
