PM Narendra Modi Releases Commemorative Postage Stamps on Ayodhya’s Ram Temple Prior to Consecration

New Delhi, 18th Jan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday released special commemorative postage stamps dedicated to the Ram temple in Ayodhya, along with a book of stamps issued on Lord Ram around the world.
The design of the stamps includes the Ram temple, the famous chaupai ‘Mangal Bhavan Amangal Hari’, the Sun, the Saryu river, and sculptures found in and around the temple.
The six stamps feature the Ram temple, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Jatayu, Kevatraj, and Ma Shabri.
The stamp book aims to highlight the global significance of Lord Ram, covering stamps issued by more than 20 countries, including the US, New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia, and organizations like the UN. The book consists of 48 pages.
The miniature sheet of stamps is adorned with a gold leaf depicting sun rays and the ‘chaupai’, giving it a majestic appearance. The design elements also represent the five physical elements of sky, air, fire, earth, and water, symbolizing their harmonious coexistence, which is essential for all forms of life.
