PM Narendra Modi Receives Congratulatory Call from Sultan of Oman

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday received a congratulatory telephone call from Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, the Sultan of Oman. The call came following the Prime Minister’s reappointment for a third term after the recently concluded general elections.

Sultan Haitham bin Tarik expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Modi on his reappointment and underscored the enduring friendship between Oman and India, spanning centuries. His Majesty conveyed his best wishes for the progress and prosperity of the Indian people, reflecting the deep-rooted ties between the two nations.

In response, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the warm wishes and recalled Sultan Haitham’s historic visit to India in December 2023, which significantly bolstered bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the India-Oman partnership, aiming for mutual benefits and prosperity.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi took the opportunity to extend Eid greetings to Sultan Haitham and the people of Oman, in anticipation of the upcoming Eid Al Adha festival.

This exchange further solidifies the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and Oman, promising a brighter future for both nations.
