PM Narendra Modi launches ‘Customized Crash Course programme for Covid 19 Frontline workers

New Delhi,18Tth June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Customized Crash Course programme for Covid 19 Frontline workers’ on Friday.
The programme aims to skill and upskill over one lakh Covid warriors across the country. Addressing the youth virtually he said,” We are working towards preparing 1 lakh frontline workers in the country. He also reiterated his commitment to providing Covid vaccination free to everyone.
The Prime minister said that another phase has begun towards the war against Corona. During the first wave of Corona, thousands of professional joined the skill development program which gave the strength to fight against Corona.
The experience received after the second wave of the pandemic is the basis of launching this program here. The mutation of the virus has posed several challenges and the dangers of the dreaded virus persist amidst us and with the possibilities of virus re-mutating therefore for every treatment we must expand our preparation to fight the pandemic and with this aim a campaign to develop one lakh corona workers has been launched. This pandemic has affected all and tested the limits, recurringly. It has also tested science, society, and Government and has alerted us to expand our capabilities. The work of Covid care, provisions of PPE kit and preparing a medical network is still going and due to this the enhancing the number of ventilators oxygen concentrators.
He lauded the efforts of ANM, Asha and Anganwadi workers and said, they have played an important role in vaccination and controlling the covid pandemic right across the length and breadth of the country.

PM Narendra Modi said that Skill, Reskill and Upskill is the mantra to fight the pandemic. The health workers have learned new things and thus reskilled them and expanded their old skills according to changing circumstances. Technology has entered every field and dynamic arrangements of upskilling have become necessary. The Skill India Mission has played an important role in this.
With the launch, the courses will commence in 111 training centres spread over 26 states. Union Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Mahendra Nath Pandey was also present on the occasion.
The training will be imparted to Covid warriors in six customised job roles namely Home Care Support, Basic Care Support, Advanced Care Support, Emergency Care Support, Sample Collection Support, and Medical Equipment Support.
The programme has been designed as a special programme under the Central Component of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, with a total financial outlay of Rs. 276 crores. The programme will create skilled non-medical healthcare workers to fill the present and future needs of manpower in the health sector.
