PM Modi’s Gujarat Visit: Unveiling Mega Infrastructure Projects and Healthcare Initiatives

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on the 24th and 25th of February, where he will undertake a series of significant inaugurations and foundation stone layings aimed at boosting development across various sectors. The visit will encompass the inauguration and dedication to the nation of multiple projects worth more than Rs. 52,250 crore.

Among the notable projects to be inaugurated is the Sudarshan Setu, a groundbreaking infrastructure connecting Okha mainland to Beyt Dwarka. This cable-stayed bridge, India’s longest of its kind, stands as a testament to engineering innovation and will greatly enhance connectivity in the region.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate five All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) across different states, further strengthening tertiary healthcare infrastructure nationwide. The AIIMS facilities in Rajkot, Bathinda, Raebareli, Kalyani, and Mangalagiri mark a significant milestone in advancing healthcare accessibility and quality.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate over 200 healthcare infrastructure projects, totaling more than Rs. 11,500 crore, in 23 states and union territories. These projects signify a concerted effort towards bolstering healthcare facilities and services across the country.

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate 21 projects of the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), worth approximately Rs. 2280 crores, aimed at enhancing medical facilities and services for employees across various locations.

Moreover, the Prime Minister will initiate several renewable energy projects, including the New Mundra-Panipat pipeline project, to augment the production of clean energy in the region. The Mundra-Panipat pipeline, with a length of 1194 km and an installed capacity of 8.4 MMTPA, will play a crucial role in transporting crude oil efficiently.

Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate and lay the foundation stone of numerous projects spanning crucial sectors such as health, road, rail, energy, petroleum & natural gas, and tourism, among others, in both Dwarka and Rajkot.
