Tokyo is hosting the Paralympic Games for the second time, that too after 57 years.
The Tokyo Paralympics is being held without audiences this time. Due to the Corona epidemic, entry in the stadium will not be available in these games. School children have been allowed to go in it but for that they have to follow all the safety rules. The decision was taken by the chairman of the Paralympic Committee, Andrew Parsons.
India participated in the Paralympics for the first time in 1972 and since then has won a total of 12 medals in these Games. If India succeeds as expected, this time it can make it to the top 25 in the medal tally.
