New Delhi, 9th Oct: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has welcomed the agreement on the first phase of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s peace plan, calling it a reflection of the strong leadership of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a post on X, Modi said, “We welcome the agreement on the first phase of President Trump’s peace plan. This is also a reflection of the strong leadership of PM Netanyahu. We hope the release of hostages and enhanced humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza will bring respite to them and pave the way for lasting peace.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks came as global attention remains focused on diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and ensure stability in the region. The agreement marks the initial step towards implementing Trump’s proposed roadmap for Middle East peace, which aims to address long-standing hostilities through phased negotiations and humanitarian relief.
