New Delhi, 4th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday welcomed Alexander Stubb, President of the Republic of Finland, who is on a State Visit to India.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that President Stubb’s visit would further strengthen bilateral relations between India and Finland across key areas, including trade and cooperation.

President Stubb had earlier shared on the social media platform X that he was travelling to India on a State Visit, during which he will meet the Droupadi Murmu, the Prime Minister and other members of the Indian leadership.

He also noted that the visit would help deepen ties between the two countries, particularly in trade and economic cooperation.

Responding to the Finnish President’s post, Prime Minister Modi said the visit would elevate India-Finland relations to new heights and expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming discussions.

The Prime Minister also said he looked forward to meeting President Stubb and attending his keynote address at the Raisina Dialogue 2026.
