New Delhi, 11th Dec: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a three-nation tour to Jordan, Ethiopia and Oman from December 15 to 18, 2025, marking key milestones in India’s diplomatic engagement with West Asia and Africa.

According to an official announcement, the visit begins in Jordan on December 15 at the invitation of King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein. The two leaders will review the full spectrum of India–Jordan relations and exchange views on regional developments. The visit coincides with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the nations, offering an opportunity to deepen cooperation and reaffirm support for regional peace, prosperity and stability.

In the second leg, PM Modi will travel to Ethiopia for a State visit from December 16 to 17, at the invitation of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali. This will be his first visit to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Both leaders are expected to hold comprehensive discussions on strengthening political, economic and development cooperation, with a focus on South–South partnership. The visit underscores India and Ethiopia’s shared commitment to closer collaboration as emerging voices of the Global South.

The final leg of the tour will take the Prime Minister to Oman from December 17 to 18, on the invitation of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. This will be PM Modi’s second visit to the Sultanate, and comes as India and Oman mark 70 years of diplomatic relations. The Strategic Partnership—rooted in centuries-old ties of trade and culture—will be reviewed extensively, covering cooperation in defence, energy, investment, maritime security, technology, agriculture and cultural exchange. The visit also follows the Sultan’s State visit to India in December 2023.

Across all three nations, PM Modi’s engagements aim to bolster bilateral partnerships, explore new areas of collaboration and align strategic interests in an increasingly interconnected global landscape.
