PM Modi to Unveil Alluri Statue in Andhra Pradesh on July 4

Amravati, 30th June. Special Chief Secretary Rajat Bhargava (Tourism and Culture) on Thursday inspected preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s July 4 visit to Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh, to unveil a statue of legendary freedom fighter Alluri Sitarama Raju as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM).

The event will be attended by Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy, and others.

Rajat Bhargava stated that preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit are in full swing.

He added that four helipads have been prepared, while Special Protection Group personnel are in charge of security.

The Prime Minister will take a special flight from Hyderabad to Vijayawada airport in Gannavaram, then fly by helicopter to Bhimavaram in West Godavari district.

PM Modi will attend the 125th birth anniversary celebration of Alluri Sitarama Raju from 11 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.

The Prime Minister will address a public meeting and unveil a 30-foot bronze statue in Bhimavaram Park.

According to the tentative schedule released by the Prime Minister’s Office, he will fly back to New Delhi from Vijayawada airport at 1.10 p.m.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, invited Telugu Desam chief N Chandrababu Naidu to the event. Kishan Reddy also called Chandrababu, who informed him that TDP state president K Atchannaidu would represent him at the event.

The Union Minister also invited former Union Minister and film star K Chiranjeevi to Alluri’s 125th birthd anniversary celebrations.
