Ajmer, 27th Feb: Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan on February 28, where he will launch and inaugurate multiple development projects worth over ₹16,680 crore in Ajmer and address a public gathering.
Nationwide HPV Vaccination Drive
In a major preventive healthcare initiative, the Prime Minister will launch a nationwide Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign for girls aged 14 years. The programme aims to prevent cervical cancer, one of the leading causes of cancer-related morbidity among women, marking a key step in strengthening women’s health and early prevention.
Mega Infrastructure Push
The Prime Minister will inaugurate several key National Highway projects, including:
- 4-lane greenfield expressway from Bandikui to Jaipur
- 6-lane access-controlled green highway under the Amritsar-Jamnagar Economic Corridor
- 8-lane carriageway of the Delhi-Vadodara Access Controlled Greenfield Expressway
He will also lay the foundation stone for projects such as a 4-lane elevated road in Jodhpur city and the Malabmori-Mangrol-Baran State Highway in Baran district.
Drinking Water and Energy Projects
To enhance drinking water supply, foundation stones will be laid for four packages of the Nonera Major Drinking Water Project and five packages of the Parwan Akawad Major Drinking Water Project.
In the renewable energy sector, the Prime Minister will inaugurate transmission systems for evacuation of power from Renewable Energy Zones in Rajasthan. Additionally, he will lay the foundation stone for five 220 KV and two 400 KV grid substations along with associated transmission lines.
Boost to Employment
Reinforcing the focus on youth empowerment, the Prime Minister will distribute more than 21,800 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates in various government departments and organisations across Rajasthan.
The visit is expected to provide a major push to infrastructure, healthcare, energy and employment in the state.
