New Delhi, 30th Sept: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as the Chief Guest on October 1, 2025, at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister will release a specially designed commemorative postage stamp and coin to mark 100 years of the RSS’ legacy. He will also address the gathering.

Founded in 1925 in Nagpur by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, the RSS was envisioned as a volunteer-driven movement to instil cultural awareness, discipline, service, and social responsibility. Over the decades, it has grown into one of the largest socio-cultural organisations in India, with a focus on patriotism, national character building, and “Sarvangeena Unnati” (all-round development).

The Sangh has also played a role in disaster relief, education, health, and community empowerment. RSS volunteers have been actively involved in rehabilitation during floods, earthquakes, and cyclones. Affiliated organisations have contributed to strengthening local communities and empowering youth, women, and farmers.

The centenary celebrations will not only commemorate the historical journey of the RSS but also highlight its contributions to India’s cultural fabric and message of unity.
