PM Modi to Inaugurate Centenary Celebrations of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj on June 28

New Delhi, 27th June: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Centenary Celebrations of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj on June 28 at 11 AM at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. He will also address the gathering, marking the start of a year-long national tribute to the revered Jain spiritual leader and social reformer.

The celebration is being jointly organised by the Government of India and the Bhagwan Mahaveer Ahimsa Bharti Trust to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj. The centenary year will witness a series of cultural, literary, educational, and spiritual events across the country, aimed at honouring his legacy and spreading his teachings.

Acharya Vidyanand Ji Maharaj is widely regarded for his scholarly contributions to Jain philosophy, having authored over 50 works focused on ethics, non-violence, and spirituality. He also played a key role in the restoration of ancient Jain temples and was a passionate advocate for education, particularly in Prakrit, Jain studies, and classical languages.

The inaugural event is expected to draw spiritual leaders, scholars, dignitaries, and followers from across the country.
