New Delhi, 17th July. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to convene a crucial meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi on Thursday. This gathering marks his first interaction with party workers since the 2019 Lok Sabha election results, which did not meet the party’s expectations.

The meeting holds significant importance as the BJP prepares for upcoming electoral challenges, including the Uttar Pradesh bypolls, and state assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana.

Sources indicate that ahead of the PM’s engagement with party workers, the Union Cabinet will convene at 10:30 am on Thursday. This session is expected to precede discussions on critical issues concerning the party’s strategies and agenda.

Earlier today, Uttar Pradesh BJP chief Bhupendra Chaudhary held a crucial meeting with PM Modi in New Delhi, amid speculation about potential leadership changes within the state BJP. The meeting, lasting an hour, reportedly focused on reviewing the party’s performance in recent elections and organizational matters.

Sources familiar with the meeting disclosed that Chaudhary briefed PM Modi on the electoral setbacks faced by the BJP in Uttar Pradesh and discussed organizational restructuring. There is speculation that the party might opt for a Dalit leader to assume the state BJP presidency.

PM Modi’s forthcoming engagement with BJP workers shows the party’s efforts to reassess and strategize in preparation for upcoming electoral contests, aiming to regain momentum following recent electoral outcomes.
