New Delhi, 5th March: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a Post-Budget Webinar on the theme “Agriculture and Rural Transformation” on March 6 at 11:15 AM through video conferencing.
The webinar will feature eight sessions covering four major sectors—agriculture, animal husbandry and dairying, fisheries, and rural livelihoods.
According to official sources, the discussions will focus on promoting high-value agriculture by unlocking the potential of crops such as cashew, coconut, sandalwood, agarwood, almonds, walnuts and pine nuts.
Participants will also deliberate on opportunities offered by Bharat Vistaar, an AI-powered Digital Public Infrastructure designed for the agriculture sector.
The sessions will examine ways to encourage private sector investment and entrepreneurship in the animal husbandry value chain.
Discussions will also focus on integrated development of reservoirs and Amrit Sarovars for fisheries and strengthening coastal fisheries value chains.
In addition, the webinar will explore expanding market access for products made by rural women entrepreneurs through Self Help Entrepreneurs–Marketing Avenues for Rural Transformation (SHE-Marts).
Officials said the webinar aims to facilitate stakeholder participation in implementing the agriculture and rural development initiatives announced in the Union Budget.
