Patna, 14th Nov: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in New Delhi at 6 pm on Friday to address party workers, as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) heads for a sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly elections held on November 6 and 11.

According to the latest figures from the Election Commission of India (ECI), the NDA is leading on 197 seats, signalling a decisive mandate. The BJP is ahead on 89 constituencies, while its key ally, the Janata Dal (United), has matched the figure with 89 leads of its own.

The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), led by Union Minister Chirag Paswan, is ahead on 21 seats. Smaller alliance partners — Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) — are leading on four seats each.

In contrast, the Mahagathbandhan appears to be facing a major setback. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading on 30 seats, while the Congress and Mukesh Sahani’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) may not secure any victory. The CPI(ML) is ahead on four seats, and the CPI(M) on one.

With trends pointing to a stronger NDA government, BJP’s Bihar unit chief Dilip Kumar Jaiswal credited the victory to the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“From the very first phase, voters were clear about retaining the NDA government,” he told PTI, adding that Bihar’s electorate placed its trust in “the world’s most popular leader, Narendra Modi.”

“These are trends, yes, but I have complete faith in the people’s mandate. Just wait and watch,” he said.
